However, for travelers with a fear of elevators and heights, navigating this bustling beach town might seem daunting. But fear not! Patong Beach offers a surprising number of charming, low-rise hotels with easy stair access, ensuring a stress-free and enjoyable stay for even the most elevator-averse adventurer.
Understanding the anxiety that can come with relying on elevators, I made it my mission to find the best low-rise options for my fellow fear-free travelers. I personally visited each hotel, meticulously inspecting the stairwells and ensuring easy access to all rooms. I wanted to make sure that every step of the way was comfortable and enjoyable for those who prefer to avoid elevators or heights.
Baan Laimai Beach Resort & Spa: 6 Floors ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This was by far my favorite resort with easy stair access to the rooms! Accessing your room is a breeze, with well-maintained stairs leading to each building. I stayed in a pool access room, which guarantees ground-floor access, eliminating the need for stairs or elevators. While pool access rooms cost a little more, they are definitely worth it – waking up and swimming right out to the huge main pool from your balcony is an incredible experience.
Note that this hotel is right in the middle of all the action, boasting the best location in Patong Beach. Bangla Road is just an 8-minute walk away, and the resort is conveniently located directly across the street from the main beach.
Unique Feature: The pool is absolutely massive! And get this – you can rent a sea scooter to zoom around! Talk about pool party fun!

Tony Resort: 4 Floors ⭐⭐⭐
Tony Resort offered a relaxed and friendly vibe that instantly put me at ease. Climbing the four flights of stairs was easy and had open access from the lobby. The rooms were basic but comfortable, and the pool was a refreshing oasis after a day of exploring. Plus, being within walking distance of the beach and local shops made it super convenient.
Unique Feature: Affordable prices and a friendly atmosphere.

Four Points by Sheraton Phuket Patong Beach Resort: 6 Floors ⭐⭐⭐⭐
This well-regarded hotel offers a touch of luxury with its modern amenities and stylish design. While it has 6 floors, the hotel boasts excellent stair access with wide, well-lit stairwells and handrails (89 cm high) – a nice touch for those who might feel a little unsteady on stairs. When I contacted reservations, they suggested I make a note on my booking that I prefer a ground-floor room due to a fear of elevators. This is a simple yet effective tip for travelers with similar concerns.

The Mövenpick Myth Hotel seriously oozes style. From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by this chic, modern vibe with a touch of Thai elegance. The rooms are luxurious, the pool is a dream, and the spa is pure bliss. You’ll feel like you’ve stepped into a stylish oasis right in the heart of Patong. I personally used the stairs during my visit and found them to be clean and well-lit, making the climb easy.
