Madrid, a city bursting with energy and steeped in history, can feel overwhelming for travelers who experience anxiety in elevators or have a fear of heights. Navigating this vibrant metropolis shouldn’t involve unnecessary stress.
To help fellow travelers, I embarked on a mission to find charming, low-rise hotels in Madrid where stair access is a priority and you do not need to take an elevator. I personally stayed at each of these hotels to verify the number of floors and confirm that reaching your room by stairs is a breeze. A friendly tip: consider requesting a room on the first or second floor to minimize the number of flights climbed.
